This is a little bit unfortunate.
My friend went to the beach a little while ago. She left wearing her newly purchased Timberland: Fells Thongs that she was quite proud of and a pair of 4 dollar Old Navy flip flops. She came home without the Timberlands.
As she came to my house, very sad and very bitter, she began telling me what had happened those 36 dollar shoes. Apparently, she was dumb, and she left them too close to the shore. Consequently, they were washed away.
I say it was her own fault, but I do feel sorry. She lives off of flip flops, and she doesn’t have a lot of money. Thankfully though she has a thoughtful boyfriend, so she got another pair within the week.
The purpose of this unfortunate story is to inform you that if you can’t afford to fly money kites then you also shouldn’t buy nice flip flops for the beach… But, of course, nobody ever listens to me, so if you feel like it anyway then be smart, and keep them away from the shore.
ps. A money kite is a kite made out of money.
